What type of cows milk is used to make your cheeses and yoghurt?
Graceland cheeses and yoghurts are made from grass-fed, ethically-farmed Jersey cow milk.
Do you use bovine (animal) rennet in your cheeses and yoghurt?
No – we only use non-GMO vegetarian imported rennet.
Do you use any artificial additives in your cheeses or yoghurts?
No – we do not use any artificial additives and no form of thickener is used to thicken our yoghurt either. Our cheeses and yoghurt contain
- no stabilisers
- no sweeteners
- no preservatives
- no colourants or flavourants
- no thickeners
- no rBST hormones (growth hormones)
- no antibiotics
What cultures do you use in your yoghurt?
We use multi-strain cultures which are probiotic and contain the important Bifido bacterium.
Do you use raw milk to make your yoghurt?
Yes we use grade A certified milk (certified free of TB and Brucellosis) to make our cheeses and yoghurt. In the process of heating the milk to make the yoghurt it becomes pasturised.
Do you use harmful chemicals in your cheesery?
No – only totally biodegradable soaps and sanitisers are used.
